Managing risk associated with our teaching, research, and support operations
The risk management department oversees the University’s property and casualty insurance and associated claims, and provides financial oversight for the student health plan, and employee benefit plans (excluding retirement). We also manage the University’s self-insured workers’ compensation program and coordinate long term disability claims.
We strive to systematically and effectively support these functions through the performance of ongoing identification, review, and prioritization of identified risk management, safety, and insurance-related issues that arise from the University’s teaching, research, and support operations.
