What You Should Know

The annual fiscal year budget (July 1 to June 30) is compiled and updated by the budget office and presented to the Priorities Committee for their review. The Trustees consider the Priorities Committee's recommendations and vote on the budget.

Account codes allow the University to accurately record different categories of income and expense. The ChartField Reference Guides provides a listing of the ChartFields, including Account, Fund, and Program and provides a description and usage for each.

Financial and reporting systems enable departments to track, monitor, and forecast income and expenses, and to learn about terms of use for donor-restricted gifts and endowments.
