Who is a Report Viewer?
A Report Viewer is an individual who has the ability to run and view financial and procurement reports in the Financial Information Warehouse as well as any public queries in the Warehouse.
Who should be assigned this Function?
Any individual who runs reports for themselves or others in the department should be assigned the Report Viewer function. If a person typically runs reports for Sponsored Research (Grants), they should also be assigned the Sponsored Research Report Viewer function.
What can a Report Viewer see in an Information Warehouse Report?
What a Report Viewer can see is controlled by their ChartField security assignment. A Report Viewer can be assigned to a specific 5 digit Department and/or Program(s). Click here to read more about Information Access and Security.
If an individual Report Viewer had access to a specific Project Grant(s) in the past, review the Crosswalk to determine the appropriate ChartField access.
