To become an authorized driver, you must have a permanent driver’s license issued by a U.S. state, U.S. territory, or province of Canada. International driver’s licenses are not acceptable nor are provisional or probationary licenses. If you have a history of moving violations or driving under the influence, you might not receive authorization even if your driver’s license is in good standing in the state of issue.
Give the driving history questionnaire, vehicle usage agreement, and a copy of your valid driver’s license to your departmental fleet safety representative, your supervisor, or to risk management.
If your motor vehicle record is approved by risk management, you will receive notification by email of your approval to drive a University fleet vehicle.
