An off-cycle paycheck is to pay something due, but before the next payday. For example, if an employee was paid incorrectly in October and the amount due is large, payroll will issue an off-cycle paycheck rather than have the employee wait until the November paycheck for the adjustment.
Off-cycle requests originate from the Department Head, Human Resources, or the Dean of Faculty.
Fill out either the Biweekly Request for Off-Cycle Payment form or the Monthly Request for Off-Cycle Payment form, based on the pay cycle of the faculty member, staff, or student who needs the off-cycle payment.
For biweekly staff, attach a copy of the pay rep time collection record to the request form.
Have the approver sign the request form.
Send the request by fax, mail, or email to payroll.
