What You Should Know

For personal income tax questions, you are encouraged to seek professional tax advice.

Princeton University is a tax exempt organization, and must report financial information to the Internal Revenue Service each year on Forms 990 and 990-T. The University also reports information about the compensation it pays to others — faculty, staff, students, businesses, and independent contractors on IRS forms including W-2, 1042-S, 1099, 1098-T, and 1098-E.
