Site ChartField

The Site ChartField tracks financial transactions surrounding a particular building or physical property location. It is primarily used to link multiple capital projects to one common building, complex, or center, aiding in the calculation of depreciation and other central F&T processes.

  • Format: Site is a six-digit numeric value (######).

  • Status: Site is a conditional ChartField on financial transactions. It is required on capital projects (M-Funds) and optional on all other funds.

  • Security: Site cannot be used to establish user security.

Most organizations do not use the Site ChartField, as most do not need to track activity by building or property location. The vast majority of transactions that include the Site ChartField are housed in one of three central offices: Facilities, Finance-Capital Projects, and University Services.
